By Staff | Nov 6, 2013

The River Pilots dream season came to an abrupt halt in the Ohio IV District Semi-finals Oct. 22, when they fell to a powerful Tuscarawas Central Catholic team in straight sets, 25-17, 25-14 and 25-17.

Amanda Bennett tallied a team-high 15 points, while Jensen Caretti and Monica Curtis each netted nine points and Mackenzie Marshall made seven points.

Caretti and Marshall each added 13 digs, while Mackenzie Wade made 10 and Curtis seven digs. Caretti blasted five kills, while Curtis made five assists. The Lady Pilots will lose their only senior in Mikayla Cieszeski to graduation in a year where they won their first ever OVAC Class-AA Volleyball title and finished the season with a very good 16-9 record.
