Dave Johnson won his first weekly event of the year with a 220-205 verdict over last week’s winner Brandon Longwell. The victory was the 29th of Johnson’s career, placing him second only to Dave Tuskey, who had 38 victories.

The win was worth $60, compliments of this week’s sponsor, Buddy Light Accounting.

Johnson was also the two-game high qualifier with games of 203-275, eight handicap, for a 486 total. Johnson slipped by Ron O’Neil Jr. 188-173 in one semi-final while Longwell defeated Jay Yeager 208-178 in the other semi-final.

Brent Conaway continues to lead the point list with 230 while Bill Pritsch and Brandon Longwell (both 185) and Ron O’Neil Jr. (160) round out the top four.

The top 24 on the point list qualify for the 36th Annual Grand Finale, where the champion will earn $1,000 based on entries. Miller Lite, Capitol Beverage and Buddy Light Accounting are once again the tournament’s major sponsors.
