The Doddridge County Bulldogs scored 27 second-quarter points – and held off a four-period 16-point Valley rally – to gain a 48-22 victory.

Peyton Palmer rushed for 92 yards and scored a touchdown to pace Valley, while Trey Streets tacked on 47 yards and a TD. Hayden Lancaster picked up nine yards and a score for the Lumberjacks.

In addition, Kale Lloyd and Matthew Throckmorton teamed for 102 yards to give the visiting Lumberjacks 250 rushing yards on the night.

Lloyd brought down 12 Bulldog ball carriers, while Luke Martin manhandled 10 others,

The ‘Jacks will host Tyler Consolidated this friday at Tom West Field in Pine Grove at 7:30 p.m. Valley will finish the season on the road against Paden City Nov. 8 with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
