Hundred Hornets Still Searching For First Win In 3 Years
The Toronto Red Knights scored 48 first half points and cruised to a 48-6 victory over the Hundred Hornets Oct. 25 at Cosgray Field in Hundred.
Davin Copeland scored the Hornets’ only touchdown. Andrew King ran a reverse back 40 yards, and Copeland capped off the 70-yard drive, eight-play drive with a four-yard scamper in the third period.
King paced the Hornets with 50 yards, while Copeland netted 48 yards, and Andrew Kuhn 27 yards on the ground. In addition, Steve Morris completed a pass to Greg Stewart for 18 yards.
Defensively, Copeland drilled seven Red Knight ball carriers for tackles, while Stewart dropped six more.
The Hornets will look to get their first win of the season this friday against the 0-9 Tygarts Valley, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
