Mike Hall Sr. defeated Chuck Fischerkeller III 216-211 to win the 35th annual Grande Finale May 18 at Bruce Lanes.

Hall averaged 185 for his six games, while Fischerkeller, a scratch bowler, averaged 241 for his six games rolled to cap off an exciting night of bowling.

Brandon Longwell was the two-game high qualifier with games of 256, 210 and 72 handicap for a 538 total.

Hall edged John Leek Jr 227-195 in one semifinal, while Fischerkeller eliminated Longwell 289-195 in the other semi. Hall won $750, while Fischerkeller earned $375. Dave Johnson won $100 for his Point List championship sponsored by Buddy Light Accounting.

The 35th annual Ohio Valley Match Play paid out over $6,000 this year, pushing the all-time total earnings to over $307,500.

Tournament sponsors were once again Miller Lite, Capital Beverage, and Buddy Light Accounting. Plans are underway for the 36th annual event. Tournament Director Keith Craycraft expressed his thanks and appreciation to all of the sponsors and bowlers for the success of the longest-running singles event in the Ohio Valley.
