Former Area Athletes Continue Athletic Career

Several graduates of Magnolia and Tyler Consolidated high schools did well in the recent WVIAC track meet.

MHS graduate Brandon Kacor, now at West Liberty University, claimed fifth place in the 400 meter with a time of 52.14 and placed sixth in the 400 meter hurdles at 59.09.

Kacor also was a member of the 4×100 meter relay team that finished in sixth place with a time of 3:28.77. In addition, Magnolia alum Cameron Benson, also attending WLU, finished ninth in the javelin throw with a heave of 152′.

Meanwhile, Tyler Consolidated grad Joseph Stemple was a member of the 4×100 meter WLU relay team that placed fifth with 44.18.

MHS grad Nathan Harshberger helped the Wheeling Jesuit team finish second in the meet with a ninth place finish in the 10,000 meter run in 35:22.71.

Elsewhere, Tyler Consolidated grad Aaron Estep helped the West Virginia Wesleyan College Bobcats qualify in the 300 meter run.
