Mike Durant, winner of 20 career weekly Ohio Valley Match Play events and the 1993-94 Grand Finale Champion, won for the first time this year, defeating Nathan Anderson 266-232 to win the $60 first place prize, compliments of Ace Mitchell Bowlers Mart, this week’s sponsor.

Brandon Longwell was the two-game high qualifier with games of 207, 202 and 72 handicap for a 481 total.

Durant eliminated Jay Yeager 220-195 in one semi final, while Anderson defeated John Miller 232-209 in the other semi final. Dave Johnson still sits atop of the Point List with 945 points, while Ron O’Neil Jr. (620); John Leek Jr. (545) and Gary Isner (430) round out the top four.

The top 24 bowlers on the point list qualify for the 35th annual Ohio Valley Match Play finale with the top eight each earning a first-round bye.

There are five events remaining to qualify for this year’s finale, slated for May 18 and featuring a $1,000 top prize.
