MHS?Freshmen Win Three

With only three games left in the season, the Magnolia Blue Eagle Freshman Boys’ Basketball Team defeated Ritchie County, 54-24; Tyler Consolidated, 51-24; and Linsly, 59-25.

Chase Miller and Derrick Blain paced the Eagles in the win over Ritchie with 16 and 10 points, respectively. Jared Kacor followed with nine points, while Dylan Jackson netted six markers.

Tyler Anderson and Todd Lemasters each contributed four points, while Alex Anderson and Patrick Wilson netted three and two points, respectively.

In the victory over Tyler Consolidated, Blain and Jackson teamed for 21 points, while Kacor and Miller divided 17 points to pace the Blue Eagles. Tyler Anderson tacked on seven markers, while Aaron Schiebelhood added four and Lemasters netted a deuce.

In the Linsly contest, Jackson and Miller tallied 16 and 11 points, respectively, while Kacor and Tyler Anderson each tallied a half-dozen markers. In addition, Lemasters and Blain each knocked in a deuce.

After games with Linsly and Monroe Central, Jan. 28 and 29, the Eagles will finish their season Jan. 31 at Magnolia High School against Bellaire at 6 p.m.
