The red-hot Magnolia Blue Eagle Girls outscored Lady Weir Red Riders 23-10 in the opening period and held on for a thrilling 52-51 victory Jan. 22 inside the MHS HammerDome.

Only four Big Blue players scored, with freshman Grace Berisford leading the way with a game-high 21 points that included three long range bonus bombs. Junior sharp-shooter Mallory Chapman followed with 18 markers that included a triple.

In addition, Kiera Standiford netted a double-double 10 points and 13 rebounds, while Katie Blatt added a three-spot, 10 rebounds, three steals and passed out seven assists for Magnolia.
