The Magnolia Blue Eagle freshmen boys defeated Tyler Consolidated 45-20 Dec. 27 in the MHS HammerDome for its fourth victory in five games this season.
The Eagles Derrick Blain led all scorers with 14 markers, while Chase Miller netted 11 points to pace the win. Tyler Anderson dropped in eight points, while Jarod Kacor, Alex Anderson, and Dillon Jackson each contributed four points.
The Eagles’ next game is Jan. 2 at Bellaire at 6 p.m. before they host the River Pilots Jan. 5 at 4 p.m. in a Magnolia River marathon at MHS. The Eagle and Pilot girls’ junior varsity and varsity tip off at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively. The boys’ jv and varsity games are set for 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
