Jeanie “Euchre” Meredith won Baristas’ Round Robin Euchre tournament with eight wins out of 11 games. The Middlebourne resident outlasted 11 other players in the eight-hour marathon event.

Former New Martinsville Roller Skating Champion Bobby O’Neil was second, followed by Francis Bland. John Yevuta was able to edge out his wife on tie breaks to take fourth place.

After the event, Mike Smith was named Baristas’ 2012 Sportsperson of the Year.

The next round-robin event will take place at the end of January.
