Lady ‘Cats Win Second

After a close 22-18 advantage at the break, Paden City went on a 24-6 run and never looked back in beating East Richland High School Dec. 15 at Ohio University Eastern. It was the Lady ‘Cats’ second victory of the season.
Myah Charkawi paced her team with 16 points that included a pair of baskets from beyond the arc, while hauling in seven boards and making seven steals and dishing out four assists.
Lynnsie Parsons came off the bench to spark the ‘Cats with nine points, six rebounds, and three steals, while Logan Cosper tacked on eight points, four assists, and a trio of steals.
In addition, Hannah Stanley and Taylor Cosper each contributed seven markers, with Cosper making four steals. Kayla Hizer netted four points and grabbed five boards, while Lynah Stanley put in a deuce.
Kelsey Loy and Kayla Barker didn’t score, but Loy snatched six rebounds and blocked three shots, while Barker dished out four assists. For the game, Paden City hauled in a season-high 34 rebounds, six blocks, 21 steals, and dished out 18 assists.
After a home game with Hundred Dec. 18, the Lady ‘Cats will play their last game before Christmas Dec. 22 when they host Harman at noon.
