The Weir Red Riders raced out to a 18-7 advantage after one period of play and went on to defeat the Magnolia Lady Eagles, 62-42, Dec. 15 in Weirton.

Mallory Chapman and Grace Berisford combined for 24 points that included four long range bombs. Chapman added 10 rebounds and blocked two shots, while Kiera Standiford contributed nine points that included a trifecta.

Jasmine Litton, Katie Blatt, and Audrey Gibb teamed for nine points. Blatt also swiped five, while dishing out five assists and blocking three Red Rider shots.

The Eagles will travel across the river to tangle with the red-hot Lady Pilots tonight, with the junior varsity game set for 6 p.m. and the varsity tipoff scheduled at approximately 7:30 p.m.
