Blue Eagle Grapplers Working As A Unit

The Magnolia Blue Eagle Wrestling Team finished fifth with 120 points in a 11-team meet at Tyler Consolidated High School in the inaugural Larry Ritchie Memorial Wrestling Tournament, Dec. 15, with the Toronto Red Knights taking the top spot with 180 points.
Eagles Doug Riter, Paden McConaughey, Kage Rhode, and Jared Wright each recorded pins in the first round, while Gage Deem won on a forfeit.
In the second round, McConaughey, Rohde, and Wright each won their matches with pins, while Riter won his bout with a forfeit.
In the third round, Deem and Rohde each picked up wins via pins, while Alex Newman won his bout by forfeit because of an injury to his opponent.
In the fourth round, Riter and Deem won by falls, while McConaughey, Rohde, Wright, and Tyler Baker each moved on to the finals with byes.
Deem lost, 8-5, in the finals, while Rohde and Clarence Harlan lost on pins in their championship bouts.
Wright and Baker each finished the tournament with third-place finishes in their weight divisions.

The Magnolia Blue Eagle Wrestling Team split a triangular match, losing to Linsly, 52-24; then taking care of Tyler Consolidated, 42-36 inside the HammerDome, Dec. 10. .
Eagles Harley Price (145 lb..) took down both of his Cadet and Silver Knight opponents with pins, while Jacob Rabel (220 lb.), Gage Deem (160 lb.), Jared Wright (195 lb.), Doug Riter (113 lb.) and Kage Rohde (182 lb.) laid to rest one opponent each with pins.
Riter, Deem, Wright, and Garrett Woofter (170 lb.) each recorded single wins via forfeits.
The Eagles will host Beallsville and Cameron in a triangular Dec. 19 at 6 p.m.
