‘Jacks Lose Opener
In a mutual season opener, Tyler Consolidated outscored the Valley Lumberjacks 42-10 during the two middle periods and coasted to a convincing 60-26 victory Dec. 4 in Kidwell to open the 2012-13 boys’ basketball season.
Valley’s Hayden Lancaster tallied seven markers that included a bonus bomb, while Jack Wells drained five points, that also included a basket from beyond the arc to pace the Lumberjacks.
In addition, Tristen Kocher followed with four markers, while Tyler Hayes netted three points.
Troy Hubbard, Trey Streets and Peyton Palmer each tallied a deuce, while Ryan Lemley sank a charity toss.
