The Magnolia Blue Eagle 2012-13 Wrestling Team opened the season in impressive fashion, beating the host Monroe Central Seminoles 42-29 and the Shenandoah Zeps, 47-12.

Eagles Garrett Woofter (170 lb..) took down both of his Seminole and Zep opponents with pins, while Alex Newman (285 lb.), Joseph Layman (132 lb.), J.T. Stillwagner (126 lb.), and Paden McConaughey (152 lb.) laid to rest one opponent each with pins.

Kage Rohde (182 lb.) and Jacob Rabel (195 lb.) both added a pair of wins via forfeits, while Doug Riter (113 lb.), Harley Price (145 lb.), Alex Newman (285 lb.) and Gage Deem (160 lb.) each recorded single wins via forfeits, while the team picked up double-forfeits in the 106, 120 and 220 pound weight class against Shenandoah.

The Blue Eagles also gained a double forfeit in the 120 pound weight class against Monroe Central.
