Gary Isner, the 2005-2006 Grand Finale Champion, won for the first time this year with a 219-181 verdict over Bull Marling to claim last week’s Ohio Valley weekly bowling championship. He won $60, compliments of LaRoche Tree Services, this week’s sponsor. Isner was also the two-game high qualifier with 206, 222, 62 handicap for a 490 total.

Isner eliminated Nathan Anderson, 223-200 in one semifinal, while Marling edged John Leek Jr. 229-215 in the other semifinal. Johnson continues to lead the Point List with 470 points, while Bill Pritch (285) and John Leek Jr. (265) round out the top three. The top 24 bowlers on the point list qualify for the 35th annual Ohio Valley Match Play finale with the top eight each earning a first round bye.

Tournament sponsors are again Miller Lite, Capital Beverage, and Buddy Light Accounting. The Grand Finale is set for May, featuring a $1,000 top prize based on entries
