Fisherkeller Wins Weekly Match Play Event
Chuck Fisherkeller won his first Ohio Valley Weekly Match Play event of the year with a high-scoring 269-258 victory over Ron O’Neil Jr. He won $50, compliments of Mitchell’s Bowlers Mart, Akron, Ohio, this week’s sponsor. Nathan Anderson was the two-game high qualifier with games of 199-189 and a 92 handicap for a 480 total.
Fisherkeller eliminated Bill Pritch, 216-175, in one semifinal, while O’Neil took care of John Leek 237-208 in the other semifinal. Dave Johnson continues to lead the Point List with 330 points, while Pritch and O’Neil are second and third, respectively, with 190 points to 145 points.
The top 24 on the Point List qualify for the May 2013 Grand Finale, with the top eight each earning a first round bye.
Tournament sponsors are, again, Miller Lite, Capital Beverage, and Buddy Light Accounting. The Grand Finale is set for May and features a $1,000 top prize based on entries
