At the halfway point of the regular season, the Magnolia Blue Eagle Golf Team defeated Shadyside, Bridgeport, River, Tyler Consolidated, and Monroe Central, but dropped to Linsly by four stokes, 161 to 165, in a marathon golf outing Sept. 5 at Riverside Golf Course in Sardis.

The Blue Eagles’ Garrett Emch shared medalist positions with the Silver Knights’ Corey Wells and the Pilots’ Jason Miller with a 38 score.

Brantley Hissom was two strokes behind with a 40, while teammates Jake Starkey and Brett Brill shot a 41 and 42, respectively.

The Pilots’ Blaze Amos followed Miller with a 46, while teammates Brandon Smith and Mikayla Newman each shot a 51.
