Lady ‘Cats Win Pair Of Tri-Matches

Paden City’s Logan Cosper tallied 41 points and made 31 sets against the Hundred Hornets, while adding 11 points and 41 sets against Linsly. Lynnsie Parsons tallied 21 points, while blasting a game-high 15 kills in the double-header, to help the Lady Wildcats win a pair of OVAC matches at Bob Burton Gymnasium Aug. 29.

In the opener against Linsly, the ‘Cats destroyed the Lady Cadets, 25-4 and 25-16, while sweeping Hundred 25-16 and 25-10.

Josie Fox scored 10 points and added 12 digs, while Myah Charkawi netted 12 points and seven digs in the two matches. Other Lady ‘Cats denting the score card included Graeson Baker with 17 points, 10 kills and five digs. Haley Hizer added seven kills and three digs, while Taylor Cosper added eight points in match one against Linsly, and 16 more points in the match with Hundred. Megan Pierce chipped in with four kills against Hundred.

Paden City defeated Bellaire St John 25-15 and 25-20 and Valley, 25-12 and 25-20 in a tri-match Aug. 30 at Bob Burton Gymnasium.

Charkawi paced the Lady Wildcats with 16 points in the opener against St. John , including three service aces. She added two kills and nine digs. Logan Cosper chalked up 12 points, one ace, 64 sets with 18 assists and two digs, while sister Taylor added 10 points.

Other members of the Wildcats that supplied stats included Baker with five points, two kills and nine digs. Parsons added four points, seven kills and three digs. Baker scored five points, two kills and nine digs, while Fox netted three points, one ace and three digs. Hizer and Pierce combined for 10 kills and two digs.

In the match with Valley, the Sisters Cosper combined for 27 points. Logan added 18 assists and Taylor seven digs to pace Paden City. Charkawi added 10 points, two service aces, two kills and four digs, while Parsons netted six points, blasted 11 kills and had two digs.

Other Lady ‘Cats making noise included Fox, with three points that included a service ace. She also added four kills, while Baker netted four points and eight digs. Hizer and Pierce added four and three kills, respectively.

In the two matches Valley played, Brittany Haught, Jessica Ashcraft and Justine Miller had nine points each, while Aly Haught added eight points and three kills. Brittany Sivert and Hannah Loy tacked on seven points and five points, respectively.
