2012 Graduate To Represent MHS At Queen Of Queens

It’s time for the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference’s annual Queen of Queens talent pageant and All-Star Football Game.

Young ladies from 26 OVAC high schools will be competing for the Queen of Queens title.

The talent pageant will take place at WesBanco Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students.

The OVAC All-Star Football Game is scheduled for Sunday at 7:15 p.m. at Wheeling Island Stadium, with the Queen crowning taking place at halftime.

Advance tickets for the All Star Football Charity Classic are $7; $10 at the gate. Children under the age of five are admitted free.

Magnolia High School’s representative in the pageant is Anna Haught, daughter of Tim and Jill Haught of New Martinsville.

She is a 2012 graduate of MHS, where she was an honor student. Anna was a member of the National Honor Society, National Science Honorary, Flag Corps co-captain, and senior class president. Anna played the lead role of “Dorothy” in her high school’s 2011 musical, “The Wizard of Oz.” She is a member of the Pine Street Church of Christ and will be attending WVU in the fall, majoring in Pre-Elementary Education.

Anna will be escorted at the halftime ceremonies by MHS Cheerleaders Lakyn Cecil and McKenzie Newman.

Mallory Lancaster will represent River High School at the event.
