Magnolia graduate Marissa Bosley smacked a long solo home run over the center field fence to get the West Virginia Mountaineers on the scoreboard first. But, it was all Ohio after that, as the Buckeyes walloped West Virginia 10-1 for its fifth consecutive All-Star victory June 6 at the 1-470 J.B. Chambers Complex in Elm Grove.

`West Virginia had OVAC Class-A, Class-AAA and Class-AAAA Players of the Year on the hill for West Virginia, but Ohio Had solid pitching, speed, lumber and defense to get the win.

Area players joining Bosley included Blue Eagle hurler Tori Tharp, Paden City third baseman Amanda Heasley, and Hundred second baseman Mercedes Goff and her coach Brian Bartlett.
