Hundred 43, Clay-Battelle 41 OT

In an overtime thriller against Clay-Battelle, the Lady Hornet defense would pull this win out. After falling behind by double digits, the Lady Hornets knotted the game heading into the fourth period. But, with three straight baskets from beyond the arc, the Cee-Bees thought they had the game in the bag. But the Lady Hornets, coached by Jeremy Kelch and Shannon Church, tied the game late. They had a chance for the win, but missed a free throw.

After knotting the game at 41 late in the fourth, the Hundred defense would hold Clay-Battelle without a point the rest of the way, including the four-minute overtime period. The Hornets knocked down two free throws to gain the upset 43-41 victory.

Tennant had her second triple-double of the season, scoring 18 points, grabbing 21 rebounds and blocking 10 Cee-Bee shots. Tedrow had the game of her life. She scored only three points, but she grabbed 20 rebounds, made seven steals, blocked six shots, and dished off three assists.

In addition, Goff had her best game of the season, scoring 16 points that included a threeball. She also dropped in two from long range, while hauling in a pair of rebounds at her point guard position. Myers and Ebert each tallied three points. Hayes sat most of the game in foul trouble and didn’t score, but had four assists.

In the win over Grant, Tennant had another double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 17 rebounds to pace the red-hot Lady Hornets. Myers tallied 10 points and hauled in five boards, while Tedrow added eight markers and grabbed 10 rebounds and made three steals.

In addition, Goff netted seven points, including a triple, while Hayes and Topp each tallied a pair of deuces. Hayes also dished out a career-high 10 assists. Paige Shriver nailed a three-point basket, while Nikki Cunningham netted a deuce.

Hundred will put their four-game winning streak on the line inside the Hornets Nest tonight when they face the only Class-A undefeated team in the state – the Morgantown Trinity Lady Warriors at 6 p.m.
