Isner Gains Match Play Victory

Gary Isner slipped by Chuckie Fisherkeller in a high scoring affair, 259-234. Isner won $80, compliments of weekly sponsor Dennis Miller Doors. Sean Johnson was the two-game high qualifier with scores of 214, 236 for a 450 total.

Isner ousted Johnson 198-156 in one semifinal, while Fisherkeller took care of Chet Richmond 280-222 in the other semifinal. Miller Lite and Buddy Light Accounting tournament sponsors guarantee the grand finale top prize of $1,000. The top 24 bowlers on the point list qualify for the 34th annual match play final, with the top eight bowlers each earning a first-round bye.

Chet Richmond continues to lead the point list with 470 points, while Lil Miller, (380); John Leek Jr. (370); and Dave and Sean Johnson, each with 350 round out the top five.
