Pilots Rout Seminoles

The River Pilots outscored Monroe Central 21-9 in the opening period, en route to a convincing 72-61 victory Dec. 9 at RL Potts Gymnasium.

The Pilots’ Brett Price led all scorers with a career-high 32 points, including four threeballs, and was 8-9 at the charity line. Matt Marconi drilled 18 points, including one from beyond the arch, while netting 11-15 free throws.

In addition, Cody Caldwell netted 11 points, including one threeball and was 8-10 at the free throw line. Jordan Indermuhle sank a pair of two pointers, while Nick Asturi drained a triple and Chad Isaly a deuce.

The Pilots will try to keep their season on a high note when they travel to Caldwell to tangle with the Redskins Dec. 16 with the junior varsity tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.

The varsity contest will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
