Lady Wildcats Place Second In Regional Cheerleading Competition

The Paden City High School varsity cheerleaders placed runner-up at the West Virginia Class-A Region One Cheerleading Championships held at Fairmont East High School Nov. 5.

The Wildcats placed a few points behind Bishop Donahue and will represent Paden City High School and Region One at the West Virginia State Cheerleading Championships in Charleston on Dec. 10.

Paden City competed against Bishop Donahue, Calhoun, Cameron, Gilmer, Hundred, Weirton Madonna, St. Marys, Valley and Wheeling Central.

Members of the squad, includes , seniors Dominique Craft, and Taylor Parsons; juniors, Tiffany Palmer, and Lynnsie Parsons; sophomores, Josie Fox; and freshmen Hannah Stanley, Madison Pierce, Tori Anderson and Kayla Hizer.

The Lady Wildcats are coached by Rachel Stoneking.

In the Class-AA, Tyler Consolidated finished third and Magnolia placed fourth.

The Magnolia Blue Eagle cheerleading team consists of, Ashtin Zajdowicz, Aston Urbanek, Kayla Adams, Eliza Cain, Kourtney Kuhn, Lakyn Cecil, Kennedy Slampak, James Jeffers, McKenzie Newman, Stephanie Mullett, Hannah Eller, Angela Sizemore, Rae Ann Quinn, Kelsey Yoho, Kelsey Newman and Morgan Sapp.

The Magnolia girls are coached by Aimee Carpenter and Cindy Zajdowicz.
