Chet Richmond defeated Lil Miller 258-163 to become this year’s first two-time champion.

Miller has made it to the final match three weeks in a row, while winning one and finishing second twice. The victory was worth $75 compliments of weekly sponsor Ace Mitchell’s Bowlers Mart of Akron, Ohio.

Ron O’Neil Jr was the two-game high qualifier with games of 278, 222 for a 500 total. Richmond eliminated last week’s winner, Sean Johnson, 218-205 in one semifinal, while Miller ousted Sean’s dad, Dave Johnson, 241-173 in the other semifinal.

Miller Lite and Buddy Light Accounting tournament sponsors guarantee the grand finale top prize of $1,000. The top 24 bowlers on the point list qualify for the 34th annual match play final, with the top eight bowlers each earning a first round bye.

Lil Miller continues to lead the point with 205 points, while Chet Richmond is second with 195 points and Dave Johnson rounds out the top three with 150 points.
