Miller Beats Hubby In Finals

Lil Miller defeated her husband, John, 232-193, to win this week’s match play in the 34th Annual Ohio Valley Match Play. The victory was worth $80, compliments of weekly sponsor Buddy Light Accounting.

Gary Isner was the two-game high qualifier with games of 201, 237 and a 46 handicap for a 484 total. Lil Miller ousted Kevin Lude 203-179 in one semifinal, while John Miller slipped by Chet Richmond 193-192 in the other semifinal.

John Leek leads the point list with 130 points, while Lil and John Miller are tied for second with 125 points. Miller Lite and Buddy Light Accounting, tournament sponsors, guarantee the grand finale top prize of $1,000. The top 24 bowlers on the point list qualify for the 34th annual match play final, with the top eight bowlers each earning a first-round bye.
