MHS?Boys’ And Girls’ Soccer Lose

The Magnolia Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Teams lost a double header Oct. 6 at home against Tyler Consolidated and Steubenville Catholic.

The boys lost to the Silver Knights, 4-0, while Catholic upended the Lady Blue Eagles 9-1.

Mike Winters made eight saves against the Knights, while Brianna Young swatted away a baker’s dozen for the girls. MHS senior mid-fielder Kayla Robinson tallied the Lady Eagles’ lone goal in the first half on a penalty kick.

The boys’ will end their season on the road against state-ranked Morgantown Oct. 15 with a TBA, while the girls finished up against Wheeling Central Tuesday with results unavailable by press time.
