Hundred 48,

Paden City 35

The Hundred Hornets overcame a six-point deficit in the third period to power them to a 48-35 victory over the home-standing Paden City Wildcats Dec. 21 at Bob Burton Gymnasium.

After a slow first half where both teams scored a combined 26 points, basketballs were falling from the ceiling, with one getting stuck in the rafters. “I’ve never seen a basketball get stuck up there in all my years at Paden City,” said Wildcat Head Coach Fred King.

The Wildcats’ Zach Yost led all scorers with 20 points, including a pair of three point baskets, while the Bidwell boys, Geoffery and Drew, teamed for 10 points and Taylor Still chalked up five points.

Brady Koontz paced the Hornets with 13 points, while brothers Shane and Dalton Kuhn teamed for 17 points.

Tyrell Watson laid in 11 points, including one from beyond the arch, while Kirk Shriver tallied a triple and a deuce.

Nick Phillips also scored a deuce for the Hornets.
