The 1-3 Valley Lumberjacks continue to struggle, dropping 54-68 to Beallsville at Pine Grove Jan. 3 after trailing in every period.

Although the ‘Jacks were behind only four points in the first period, 17-13, Beallsville increased its lead to 36-29 going to the break.

The visitors continued the pressure in the third period to advance to a 50-40 lead and on into the final period, where Beallsville sealed the win.

Scoring for the ‘Jacks: Alex Henderson, 15 points; Matthew Polling and Ronald Morris, nine markers each; Justin Carter, six points; Garrett Ueltschy, seven points; Coleman Ueltschy, four points; Jeremiah Burch, three points; and Dustin Bickerstaff, one point.
