Heasley Hits Three Homers

Cameron 9, PCHS 7

The ‘Cats’ Zach Heasley homered for the third straight game, but the Cameron Dragons scored six runs in the first inning and held on for a 9-7 victory over Paden City April 8 in Cameron.

Heasley added a single and drove home four runs, while Levi “Bam-Bam” Meadows belted a single and blasted a pair of doubles to pace the Wildcats’ eight-hit attack.

In addition, Andrew Dennis singled and doubled, while Isaac Hall and Luke Cooper each had singles for Paden City.

Hall took the loss from the mound. He struck out five and walked three, while Cooper came in relief and sat down one Cameron batter and walked two.

Paden City 9, Frontier 5

The Wildcats’ Zach Heasley belted a home run, while Deven Price, Levi Meadows, Craig Allen, Andrew Dennis, and Isaac Hall each had multi-hits to highlight a 9-5 victory over Frontier in the nightcap of a twin bill April 6 at Paden City Park.

Hall went the distance from the mound for the Wildcats. He struck out seven and walked eight to gain the nod from the rubber.

Frontier 19, Paden City 5

Heasley and Luke Cooper each went yard, but it wasn’t enough as the Frontier Cougars won the opener, 19-5.

Cooper added a double, while Meadows drilled a pair of singles for the Wildcats. The Cougars scored 19 runs on 16 hits off Wildcat pitching.

Cooper was credited with the loss from the mound. He struck out two and walked five, while Dennis came in relief to strike out one and walk one.
