Eagles Succumb To ‘Jackets

The Williamstown Yellowjackets, behind two goals from Jarric Hoskins, knocked off the Magnolia Blue Eagles 3-1 in boys' soccer action at Williamstown Sept. 17.

The Eagles' goal came unassisted in the second minute of the second half by Oscar Celedon.

Hoskins is the son of Jeff Hoskins (MHS Class of 1983) and the grandson of Jo Ann Hoskins (MHS Class of 1946) and the late Steve Hoskins (MHS Class of 1944).

For the Blue Eagles Mike "Bandit" Winters made 13 saves in between the nets, while the Williamstown goal keeper made six saves. Magnolia had seven shots at goal, while the Yellowjackets made 16.

The Blue Eagles will next play Lincoln at home Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. and will travel to St. Marys Sept 27 against the Blue Devils at 5 p.m.
