From Roland Bohrer
To The Editor,
I have lived in New Martinsville most of my 80 odd years, but it has only been over the last 8 to 10 years that I have seen gasoline prices get to 38 cents to 45 cents above our closer larger towns to the north and south. Namely Moundsville and St. Marys.
Wetzel is one of the poorer counties in West Virginia, yet we get gouged on gas prices really bad. I can’t believe that each company that distributes gas in New Martinsville raises its price just when the first one does.
Also, if that is not the case, do the owners of the 7 gas stations in town get together and say, we need a big pay raise, lets jack up the prices 45 cents?
I would like to think these owners were not so selfish. If I have to write again, I’ll try to have the owners names for you.
