To The Editor,

The American Legion Post #28 of New Martinsville wants to Thank the Wetzel County Commissioners and the Town and Country Day Committee for their generous donation to our Flag Program here at our Post Home. It is very much appreciated by all the Legion Family. There are over 1000 flags used for the Veterans Graves in May at 7 different grave sites in this area. Veterans from this post work hard to not miss any of our fallen comrades but if the graves site has no Veteran marker in any way then we don’t know. Please let this post know if you have a family member that is missed or their grave is never flagged.

Also the Wetzel County Commissioners has been very good to the Legion Family here at Post #28 by their huge support of the “Wall of Honor” outside our Post Home. Hope everyone can visit it and this site is lit at night so anytime of night or day you can make a visit. We want all of our fellow Comrades to never be forgotten and the light shine in their memory for many years to come.

Also the Wetzel County Commissioners has been a big support for the Mountaineer Boys State and Rhododendron Girls State Program at our Post and for the whole county. The Post appreciates the generosity of the commissioners over the years for their continued support for our Youth and our Veterans here in Wetzel County It is this kind of support that keeps these wonderful programs to continue in our community.

Thank you

God Bless America
