From Thomas E. Trader, Sr.
The Paden City Park and Pool Commission would like to thank everyone that participated in the Paden City Haunted Trail on Monday, Oct. 26. We sold 591 tickets, more than last year. It was another successful year. It is a very safe way for the children to get their candy and trick or treat. We had 23 stations.
We would like to thank all of the following stations: New Martinsville: Bayer Credit Union, Health Care Center, Burger King, New Martinsville Ambulance, Progressive Bank, Lisa Shepherd.
Paden City: Nazarene Church, Lions Club, WesBanco, library, Legion Auxiliary, Labor Day Committee, Dominos, P.C. Fire Department, Garden Club, REM, Eagles, Church of God and Christian Church.
Sistersville: Health Care Center, Par Mar, Tyler County Lions Club.
We also want to thank all the businesses that donated candy or money: Union Bank of Sistersville, Myers Car Lot, Dr, Feathers, McDonalds, Susie’s Crafts, Brenda Botizan CPA, W.C. Hospital, and Paden City Go Mart.
I want to thank the Park and Pool Commission, Josh Billiter, Roxanne and Ginger for selling tickets and trying to stay warm. Thanks goes to Crystal Shultz, Jennifer Latimer and Kevin Goldin for selling hot chocolate and coffee and Sharps in New Martinsviile for donating the tickets and Tim Bidwell fo making the flyers. We also want to thank Dave Wells, Lisa and Willey White for bringing their wagons and horses for the rides for the haunted trail. They worked very hard and never stopped. I talked to them and they had fun too. The buggy rides were a great ending for the Haunted Trail. If I have forgotten anyone, please forgive me and know that we appreciate everyone that helps and supports us. The children, parents, and businesses make the Haunted Trail the success it is. We all need to support our town and the surrounding towns. We hope to see everyone next year. Again, thanks to everyone.
