From Pam Ferrell
To volunteers, attendees, and donors of the Wetzel County Animal Shelter, Supporters Auction in November, I want to apologize for this being so late. First to thank the patrons who attended and bought tickets and bid on our wonderful donated items! Though attendance was down we still have very active attendees who helped the shelter make approximately $3,500 this year!
Thank you to the Wetzel County Extension Office/Wetzel County Commission for the wonderful venue.
We would like to thank the volunteers who worked so hard getting donations for the auction, setting up, cleaning up, cooking, and purchasing items, etc. But please be assured that you are very much appreciated and the event would not have been possible without you!
Next to thank our annual auctioneer, Terry Cozart and his crew, for making the auction so fun for everyone while making money for the animals.
Also the Wetzel Chronicle, Channel 15, Radio 93.2, and the Green Tab advertised for us and got the event info into so many homes!
It will take more than one letter to thank all the businesses who donated, so this will be the first of two letters (see the second in next week’s Wetzel Chronicle). If you donated and your name is not in either letter, please contact us and we will correct that. Many items came in late with volunteers and may not have gotten documented!
