From Bryan Ensinger
To The Editor,
Are you tired of that same old Saturday morning routine-sleeping late, a cup or two of coffee, and waiting for college football?
Shake things up this Saturday, Sept. 13. Walk, run, bike, or drive to the old golf course in New Martinsville just south of the 7/11 and watch the Magnolia boys’ and girls’ cross country teams defend their home turf.
The high school boys’ event begins at 9:30 a.m. with the high school girls’ race to follow. Junior high races will wrap up the day’s race calendar. This is the only opportunity you will have to see the Blue Eagles at home in 2014.
We are expecting over 200 athletes, and if you have never witnessed a cross country race, it is a unique sporting event. The course is spectator friendly with many opportunities to cheer on the Blue Eagles.
Join me on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. You can skip that second cup of coffee.
