To The Editor,

I just wanted to say a great big public thank you to our wonderful friend and neighbor Imogene Wood and her son Ronnie of Carney Run for finding and wrangling our wandering German Shepherd pup, Stubby. He had spent the night in the woods, and though I called him all night, he was out of ear-shot, about two miles away over the next mountain. He had outgrown his puppy collar and I had just put a new one on him that day with no ID except the rabies tag. Imogene got the rabies ID number and clinic from his tag, called the Springhill Animal Clinic in New Freeport, Pa., and found out we were the owners. He is back home now and we are so grateful to all for his safe return. A good friend told me once God likes to listen to prayers in which small things are asked for-He has certainly answered mine more than once recently. So thankful to live where there are good people and helpful vet clinics.
