To the Editor,

The Wetzel County Coalition Against Drug Abuse would like to thank everyone involved in the success of the first of several Drug-Free Youth/Family events. The pool party held on July 16 at the Lewis Wetzel pool brought approximately 40 youth, grades seven through 12, to a party of swimming, prizes, food, and music, while providing a chaperoned drug-free environment.

The pool party was made possible through funds from the Wetzel County Sheriff’s Office, Wetzel County Commission, New Martinsville Moose Lodge, Stone Energy, Lions Club of New Martinsville, and TransEnergy. The WCCADA would like to thank the sponsors, along with the following: New Martinsville Parks and Recreation, Domino’s Pizza, Disc Jockey Rick Estep, Witschey’s Market, Donna Sands, Ray and Margie Renaud, Larry Lemon, and all those involved to make the night a success.
