From Ray, Pat, Gary, and the whole Ebert Family
The the Editor,
We would like to thank ArtsLink and everyone involved in honoring The Ebert Brothers on June 15 for our 45 years of having shows at the Lincoln Theater in New Martinsville.
Our brother Norbert came up with the idea of having these shows, and we’re sure he didn’t think we could still be having shows at the Lincoln 45 years later. It was his wish that we continue having shows at the Lincoln Theater so we are trying to honor his wishes.
There’s a lot of people to thank, and it’s hard to remember everyone. We want to thank Donna Earley, Dan Henthorn, and all of the people involved with ArtsLink, the mayor, city council, Beverly Gibb for making the theater available, in proclaiming this day for us. It was quite a humbling experience. It was also a wonderful concert: The Tharp Brothers, Dan Henthorn and the Battle Weary Band, and Seldom Scene. We would like to thank all of the people in the community and surrounding areas for all of their support over the years.
We would also like to thank all of the merchants and business people for helping to sponsor our shows over the years. Without their support, these shows wouldn’t be possible.
We are a very close family. We love each other very much. We have our Dad and Mom to thank for that, with all of their love and support. We’ve been truly blessed. It’s always been a clean family-type show. We don’t try to be something that we are not. We are just ourselves.
Our band is like a family to us, Dana, Johnny, Ron, Gary, Alan, Jerry, Jeremy, and Patches. They’ve been with us for many years. Two people that need recognized are Shirley and Ellen, who have taken tickets and taken care of the lobby for the past 45 years.
Once again, thank you very much, and we hope to see you in September.
