To the Editor:
Maybe it’s my age, or the times have changed, but I always thought that if you saw a crime being committed and you reported it, you were a good citizen.
Under the Obama administration, the opposite is fact. If the federal government is involved in the crime, and you report it, then you are the criminal.
I think that our founding fathers expected us as citizens to report when our government was involved in a criminal act, when they handed us the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
The other day I saw a bumper sticker that might sum up the above statements: Ignore the Constitution and it will just go away.
P.S. As a passing thought, at a meeting a few weeks ago of the Wetzel County Chapter of the Constitution Party of West Virginia, I was asked if I could name three of our freedoms that our government had not infringed on.
I could not come up with two! Maybe some of the readers may have better luck.
