From Betty Young
From 1980 to 2010, I was an employee for the City of New Martinsville.
During this time, I had served under two different supervisors without incident. Upon the third being elected, my employment ended abruptly without a “justifiable cause.”
I had spent nearly 30 years of my life serving the people of our community, honestly, and with integrity, only to have it all thrown away.
Within my final months of employment, I was shunned, forced to work alone, and was subjected to immoral behavior, which I found to be highly offensive, being that of a female employee.
For all of those asking where the lady in the Street Department has been, now you know. I have met a lot of new people during this time, and I truly miss serving the town in which I had worked for so long.
