To the Editor:

The Field of Flags are at rest for the winter, but the fighting continues. May our conversations and prayers continue to include our servicemen, their families, and their friends.

There have been two more U.S. casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq this week as reported by the Defense Department. The total of fallen heroes in Iraq and Afghanistan stands at 6,321 as of Dec. 2.
