To the Editor:

The Field of Flags is in its first week in Moonachie, N.J. There have been 10 more deaths this week as reported by the Defense Department. The total of fallen heroes in Iraq and Afghanistan stands at 6,269 as of Oct. 7.

May this letter serve to remind us all to remember all who have served and put themselves in harm’s way for us. May we all lift up in prayer the families and friends whose lives have forever been changed by the death of each of these soldiers.
