To the Editor:

It is with great remorse that I write this letter in disappointment that only 15 people showed up for the free concert at Bruce Park Thursday evening. I am still in shock that we have so many dead heads in New Martinsville. To be so ungrateful to the city and its recreation director is a disgrace to say the least. Hard to believe only 15 people showed!

I hear people say many things derogatory about our town, about nothing to do in this town. Well there was something going on and the town citizenry showed their contempt for the city. Shame, shame.

I hope you all had fun watching Oprah or How To Skin The IRS, or The Ambulance Chasers on the tube. Fifteen of us saw a much better show at Bruce Park. Thanks, Bev.

I challenge all New Martinsville citizens to show up at these concerts, Music in the Park, or whatever else, next Thursday and thereafter. Get out, you dead heads and smell and see the roses. It will do you good to see old friends, visit and talk to others there. Try it! You’ll like it.

Hope to see many there from all areas at these events. It’s good to see old and new friends. Love you all.
