A second letter thanking all the volunteers who helped at the mutt strut and made it a success! Carman Harman did a wonderful job emceeing the event and did the live remote 99.5 donating the use of his sound system/DJ equipment. Leslie Manley used her artistic talents to do face painting and tattoos at the event as well as making all our posters this year. Heather Lacefield helped with the tattoos. April Clark and The Dog Palace staff, as always, helped and did our free Pawdicures. Our photographer, Susan Fair and Helen Bennet, did photos. Helen also did our certificates. Father Frank Neville did pet blessings which Rachel Lilze ushered. Rachel Lilze and Rodney Loy also helped with set up and tear down. Mike Clark built a great booth for the blessings. Joan Frye did psychic readings of the doggies, Renee Goddard helped tear down and along with Tiffany Bolton and Lucinda Kirk, did the 50/50, sales table, and raffles. Nancy Springer, Connie Yeager, and Margaret Pefferman did the registration and Connie Yeager also did all the calculations of all the monies. Debra King and Amy Toman did the Bubble Party. Debra King also did much of the prep work. Carol Pefferman took care of t-shirt and bandanna sales and did our early morning run of dogs to Parkersburg the day of the event so we could clean the shelter. Christine Weaver, Lou and Joe Rabel, Ruth Lint, and Sam White took care of the food and beverages. (Lou cooked, cut, prepared, and donated almost all of the food items.) Lou and Joe and Eugene Ebert also took a complete day to paint the agility course which was generously donated by Mario Wingrove who also sold the majority of the 50/50 tickets for us. The county donated the grounds to us for the day, Christine Weaver did all the mailings and so much running with brochures and posters, as did Melissa Dinger who also did Rent a Dog and bathed dogs the morning of the event and baked doggy treats along with her mother Deloris Dinger and friend Doris Glod. Joyce Suter was a judge, Penny Burch ran the doggy treat booth, Kathy Dye and Diane Kearns ran the Agility Course, Becci Loy set up and ran the Veggie Soup Cook Off, Arnold and Debbie Cochran jumped in and helped where and when they were needed, Pam Ferrell make doggy treats, set up and tear down and did doggie massages, and Dorothy and Bob Sellers did dog tags and Microchipping. Bob Sellers also donated time to help us so much with the set up and tearing down of the event. Della Hise saved us with tables to use and preparing food for the food booth and baking doggy treats. Matt Pefferman also helped with the raffles/door prizes with Pam Lacefield. Josie’s Gourmet Dog Treats donated some of their earnings to the event.

Everyone did so much more than is listed and most helped set up and clean up. Everyone helped out tremendously.

I would like to add that all the details of the event and the figures will be in a follow up article in the Wetzel Chronicle. This letter is in appreciation.

I apologize before hand for anyone I may have missed in the thank yous. There are so many and all are appreciated.

Thanks again.

Until next year
