Keeping Our Communities Safe
One of the great things about living in small rural communities is the fact that they are safer. We tend to take for granted a nice peaceful walk in the park or an evening stroll through our city streets.
That’s been a normal way of life for most people here in our little part of the World. We basically feel safe!
With spring here and warmer weather on the way, many residents will be taking advantage of longer day time hours and will be spending more time outdoors. We say keep your eyes and ears open, today’s environment is different from years past. If your walking the town streets, in the city park or just enjoying time around your home, stay alert.
Every day we hear of violent crime and just recently a man was attacked near his own home here locally. If walking after dark the best thing is to walk with someone or in groups, chances are you will not only feel safer, but you will be safer. Always carry a cell-phone with the number of family or your local police at the touch of a button.
