HELPING ONE ANOTHER

By Staff | Feb 6, 2019

As our readers are well aware, it was bitterly cold outside last week in Wetzel County, with temperatures dropping below zero. We are sure many would agree it was difficult enough to step outside to walk to and from one’s vehicle for work-related travels. We are sure many avoided going outdoors, if at all possible.

Could you imagine if you had no choice but to stay outdoors? This would’ve been the case for several individuals, had warming shelters not been put into place. Thankfully area residents, organizations, and county entities came together and made sure everyone had a place to go, safe from the frigid elements.

When it comes to dangerous and deadly temperatures, we shouldn’t hesitate about making sure that no one in our communities is left outside to fend for themselves.

We thank the caring folks in Wetzel County who showed a true spirit of grace and compassion.
