Thankful For Volunteers
The month of October has been busy for local folks, as a plethora of activities have happened each weekend, in celebration of the Autumn season. Octoberfest was held in Hundred, Wetzel County, during the first weekend of October, which also marked the annual Middle Island Harvest Festival in Tyler County. Residents had the opportunity to partake in additional fall fun when Autumn Fest was held at the Wetzel County 4-H Grounds this past weekend. The coming weeks will bring about more opportunities to celebrate as Halloween will bring the Haunted Trail in Paden City, Sistersville’s Spookhouse, Boo at Bruce Park in New Martinsville, and more.
We are remiss if we think these events are easily planned and organized. They can take months of preparation by individuals who are willing to give free time. We tip our hats to those who work fervently behind the scenes to bring these family fun activities to our neighborhoods, and we encourage everyone else to do the same.
